Seeking Collaborative Screenwriters for Feature Film Projects

Over the years, I’ve written many scripts. Some have shown promise and can be refined, while others, frankly, are better left in the archives as experiments gone wrong. Writing has never been my primary ambition—it was more of a necessity, born from the lack of accessible scripts.

Now, having completed a feature film, I’m eager to take the next step: collaborating with talented screenwriters who excel in the Horror/Mystery genre. My goal is to bring their exceptional work to life on screen.

What I’m Looking For

If you’re a writer with a compelling Horror or Mystery script that you believe deserves to be made, I’d love to hear from you. In exchange for your script, I can offer a percentage of the net profits. However, let’s be transparent about what that entails.

The Reality of No-Budget Filmmaking

It’s important to acknowledge that no- or micro-budget films rarely generate significant revenue. Your share could amount to a few thousand pounds, or it could be as modest as £50. This is not unique to my productions—it’s a common reality in independent filmmaking.

However, there are non-monetary rewards to consider. Having a feature film produced and distributed can be a significant milestone in your career. Unlike short films, which often serve as calling cards for directors or cinematographers, a completed feature film demonstrates your ability to craft a story that holds up at a professional level. Several collaborators from my previous projects have told me how having a feature credit opened doors for them in the industry.

Why Collaborate?

  • Exposure and Credibility: A feature film credit sets you apart from the crowd, showcasing your work to a broader audience.
  • Experience: Working on a feature provides invaluable insights into the production process.
  • Networking: Collaboration often leads to future opportunities, as industry professionals take note of your contributions.
